Supervision

As a level 2 ACA registered Counsellor and counselling Supervisor I am qualified to clinically supervise counsellors at ACA levels 1 & 2 or their equivalent in other associations. I specialise in Emotional Freedom Techniques (tapping), Mindfulness-based therapeutic practices (MBTP) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

While I work with any client and all concerns, I work most closely with assisting families and in particular parents, to work through current or past traumatic and stressful life experiences and inherent, negative family patterns.

I am also a certified Advanced EFT practitioner currently becoming advanced-accredited and an Evidence-Based EFT (EBEFT) Mentor with EFT Advanced trauma training.

As a supervisor, I work to support counsellors in ways that ensure they are applying appropriate counselling skills and models of counselling. That they are adequately meeting their OPD and are maintaining excellent self care strategies. I assist counsellors in private practice with guidance for developing a good business model or with career options and development choices.

As your supervisor, I bring over 10 years experience working in a successful, self-employed clinical setting. I assist counsellors in understanding how to best build your business in a way that works for you. I care deeply for the wellbeing of those I supervise and take self-care as a matter of priority.

I have a passion for working with families and in particular, parents, for many years now, helping them to form strong, healthy, connected relationships with their children and family members of all ages.

I also have extensive experience counselling academic professionals and business executives with career and workplace concerns, or wanting to find an intelligent, realistic balance in their career and family life.

With over 25 years experience practicing mind-body medicine, I have a passion for assisting my clients with alleviating the impacts of stress and anxiety. Being advanced trauma trained in EFT I am also able to assist you as counsellors to tackle the bigger issues in a safe way or find the appropriate training to assist you to do so.

All of my work in these areas and my previous work as a medical herbalist, has lead to an intense interest in evidence-based practices such as EFT and EMDR and developments in the field of epigenetics, vagal innovations and the direct relationship of the mind on the body.

FEES: Counselling Supervision $100/hr
